JENNIFER MUELLERVICE PRESIDENT AND PRIVACY OFFICER

    Jennifer Mueller, MBA, RHIA, FACHE, FAHIMA is Vice President and Privacy Officer at the Wisconsin Hospital Association Information Center (WHAIC). Her primary responsibilities include overall direction and oversight of WHAIC, including managing and developing WHAIC’s product and service portfolio, guiding staff development, maintaining customer relationships, and assisting in the growth and development of the organization. Prior to joining WHAIC, Jennifer served nineteen years as Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Watertown Regional Medical Center. She has been an active leader of the Wisconsin Health Information Management Association (WHIMA), serving twice as President. She was recently elected to a three-year position on the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Board of Directors. In addition, she has served as chair on multiple committees and as a local and national speaker on topics related to HIM, HIT and EMR, among others.

    Mueller earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management as well as a Master’s in Business Administration, both from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and of the American Health Information Management Association.

    Mueller has received several notable awards including the WHIMA Distinguished Member Award, Motivator Award and Rising Star Award. Professional memberships include: HIMSS, ACHE, AHIMA and WHIMA

    Mueller also serves as a member of the University of Wisconsin Extension: Health Information Management and Technology Program Advisory Board. In her spare time, she is a competitive runner who participates in numerous fundraising 5Ks and half-marathons.
